About Geraldton Windsurfing Club (GWC)
Since 1991, the Geraldton Windsurfing Club (GWC) has been supporting its members and the local windsurfing community by providing:
- Windsurfing events and activities
- Community engagement and representation
- Use of equipment to help new windsurfers get started and progress through the early stages of learning.
- Opportunities for instruction, practice and skills development.
Our Membership Options and Fees for 2026/27 include (membership is from 1 September to 31 August):
- Adult $105 **
- Junior (19 and Under) $95 **
- Family (2 Adults and Kids 19 and Under) $255 **
- Social $40 (join via this website GWCTidyHQ)
** Includes - Third Party and Personnel Injury.
** Includes: WC members may gain independent access and use of equipment subject to competency requirements, member(s) responsibility and successful separate application. Please see heading below 'Independent Access and Use of Equipment' and discuss with Committee to find out more details.
Steps to become a Member :
1. Review the GWC facilities and equipment information
Read the information on the GWC website explaining how club facilities and equipment are managed and accessed.[LINK]
2. Introduce yourself to the GWC Committee
We encourage new members to introduce themselves to a committee member and ask any questions they may have about the club, facilities, equipment or activities.
3. Complete the Participant Declaration
The Participant Declaration and Membership Registration process allows members to participate in GWC activities, use of club equipment where applicable and take part in member lead coaching activities.

4. Complete your GWC Membership or Renewal
Membership and annual renewals are completed through the Windsurfing WA website under the Registration section: http://www.windsurfingwa.org.au/
Independent Access (competency/proficiency requirement) and Use of Equipment
- GWC members may have independent access and use of equipment who meet the competency/proficiency requirement.
- GWC members who are learning and not yet considered competent are welcome to attend MEMBER DAYS and HAVE A GO DAYS. See Heading 'Club and Hosted Events' and 'Events' heading.
- Alternatively, GWC members who are competent may be available to assist those learning by coaching/monitoring while progressing including, access to equipment, removal and storage of equipment.
- The GWC encourage members that are learning to seek other members of a similar level to learn together.
- Please discuss with committee and other members to make connections, be introduced and form groups to learn in a fun and safe environment.
